Emerging – Limited Edition Contemporary Countryside Print
Emerging is a contemporary countryside print by British artist Claire Gill. Created through digital photomontage, the artwork combines Claire’s original photography to construct an imagined landscape inspired by rolling fields, trees and the changing textures of the British countryside.
Layers of vegetation, fields and photographic detail create depth across the composition. Natural colours and shifting textures evoke the feeling of moving through the landscape while retaining the quiet, contemplative quality found throughout Claire’s work.
Each limited edition print is produced on 310gsm Hahnemühle archival cotton rag using museum-quality giclée inks. Every print is signed and numbered by the artist and supplied unframed.

About Emerging
Emerging is a limited edition contemporary countryside print by British artist Claire Gill. Layers of rolling fields, trees and vegetation come together to create an imagined landscape inspired by the colours and textures of the British countryside.
Rather than documenting a single place, Claire constructs the landscape from her own photographs. She cuts out, layers and rearranges individual photographic fragments digitally until a new composition begins to emerge. As a result, the finished artwork sits somewhere between photography, collage and painting.
Created Through Digital Photomontage
Claire’s slow digital photomontage process begins with photographs gathered on walks and journeys. Fields, trees, plants, textures and overlooked details become the raw material for an entirely new landscape.
In Emerging, layers of vegetation lead the eye through the composition towards the open countryside beyond. Changes in colour, texture and scale create a sense of depth, while quieter areas allow the landscape room to breathe. The finished work captures a feeling of something gradually revealing itself, while retaining the contemplative atmosphere that runs throughout Claire’s work.
