It began with the trees…

I photographed these unusual shapes while walking through Lindfield. The village where I live. Later, back in the studio, I began cutting, layering and rearranging the images in Photoshop.

Slowly, the familiar trees became part of an imagined autumn landscape—somewhere between photography and painting.

This video shows how the artwork developed, from the original photographs to the finished piece.
It feels especially fitting to bring it back to the village that inspired it. You can see the finished work at the Lindfield Arts Exhibition on Saturday 26 September.

I’ll also be showing a collection of autumnal limited-edition prints, with my complete collection available to browse.

A quieter side of autumn.

I am selecting a collection of my most autumnal landscapes for a local art show on Saturday 26 September.

Rather than fiery reds and oranges, these works explore the softer side of the season: faded colour, misty light, weathered textures and landscapes beginning to change.

Each image is created from fragments of my own photographs. I cut, layer and rearrange them in Photoshop to create an imagined landscape that sits somewhere between photography and painting.

I will have this autumn collection on display at the show. My complete collection of limited-edition prints will also be available to browse.

Salt Meadow began with fragments gathered along the British coast.

Photographs of grasses, flowers, water and weathered textures were carefully cut, layered and rearranged. Slowly, they became an entirely new landscape—somewhere familiar, but not quite real.

I wanted this print to hold the feeling of standing beside an open shoreline. That moment when the view seems to stretch out and everything becomes a little quieter.

Salt Meadow is available as a signed and numbered limited-edition print in three sizes:

Small: 30 × 30 cm paper Medium: 50 × 50 cm paper Large: 61 × 62 cm paper

Each print is professionally produced on Hahnemühle archival cotton rag paper and supplied unframed. Free UK delivery is included.
