The Crossing – Walberswick Ferry Limited Edition Print

The Crossing is a contemporary Walberswick Ferry print inspired by the landscape around Southwold Harbour on the Suffolk coast.

The small ferry crossing between Walberswick and Southwold has a character all of its own. Boats, water and the open coastal landscape come together in an image that captures the quiet atmosphere of this familiar Suffolk setting.

Rather than reproducing one view exactly, I created The Crossing through digital photomontage. I combined and layered my own original photographs, gradually building an imagined landscape from different fragments of the coast.

The result sits somewhere between photography and painting. Recognisable coastal details remain, but colour, texture and composition create a more personal interpretation of the place.
