About this Brighton beach print
Brighton Beach is a colourful limited edition print inspired by the joy and nostalgia of the British seaside. Two blue-and-white striped deckchairs face the water, inviting the viewer to pause and enjoy the coastal view.
Brighton Palace Pier rises beyond the shoreline with its distinctive rides and architecture. Turquoise water, a pale patterned sky and a warm yellow beach create a bright, uplifting palette. Meanwhile, weathered marks add texture and reflect Claire Gill’s interest in imperfect coastal surfaces.
Claire creates every artwork from her own photographs. Through her original digital photomontage process, she cuts out, rearranges and layers individual elements. Therefore, this Brighton beach print captures both the character of the city and the familiar pleasure of sitting beside the sea.
