Sea Lyme – Limited Edition Seascape Print

Sea Lyme is an atmospheric limited edition seascape print by British artist Claire Gill. Inspired by Camber Sands and the British coastline, the artwork combines delicate dune grasses, water and an expansive horizon to capture the quiet character of the coast.

Claire creates her artworks using her own original photographs and distinctive digital photomontage process. She cuts, combines and layers photographic fragments to create imagined landscapes rather than simply documenting a place. The finished artwork sits somewhere between photography and painting.

Soft coastal colours and the open composition give Sea Lyme a peaceful, contemplative quality. The layers of grasses add texture and detail while the distant horizon creates a feeling of space. As a result, the artwork works particularly well in calm, contemporary interiors.

Although inspired by Camber Sands, the artwork does not aim to reproduce the coastline exactly. Instead, Claire uses the landscape as a starting point. Photography, memory and observation come together to create a new and imagined coastal view.

Each artwork is professionally produced as a museum-quality giclée print on Hahnemühle archival cotton rag paper using UV-resistant inks. Every print is individually signed and numbered by the artist and supplied unframed.
