The Shades of Autumn – Autumnal Print
,’Martindale’ is a contemporary Autumnal print and photomontage composed of original photographs taken oin the Lae District. Specifically in Martindale, a quiet area around the bar of Ullswater. I created this image by digitally cutting out combining details from original photographs My aim when creating digital photomontage is always to retain a sense of the places I visit. As a consequence, I also try to recreate the sense of calm or expansiveness that comes from being there. However the very act of combining different images of the place, leads to the creation of an entirely new scene, which as a consequence leaves space for the imagination.
Choose from three different size prints, in order to find your perfect spot for it in the house. Hang this boldly coloured print against strongly coloured walls. Buy as a gift for art lovers, nature lovers, or those who enjoy the beautiful British landscape. I pack and post the prints flat to ensure they arrive in the best condition for framing. Additionally, postage and packing are free to all detinations in the UK. I sign all prints on the front in pencil and edition them. Once an edition has run out, I do not print any more of that image.
