The Run – Hengistbury Head Print

‘The Run’ is a contemporary seascape print and photomontage, inspired by visits to Hengistbury Head in Dorset. This place became a firm favourite of mine last year because it felt like a step away form the hustle and bustle of everyday life. After walking up the head you can walk down through trees to meet a long sandy arm lined with beach huts. One side of the arm looks out to sea while the other shelters a freshwater harbour. The Run is the beach which edges the point at where freshwater meets the salt water.

I created the image by digitally cutting out and combining original photographs taken at Hengistbury Head in Dorset. My aim when creating digital photomontage is always to retain a sense of the places I visit. However, the very act of combining different images of the place, leads to the creation of an entirely new scene, which as a consequence leaves space for the imagination.

In order to allow you to find your perfect spot in the house, you can choose from three different size prints. This print would fit well with a neutral or yellow colour scheme.
