Moiré

‘Moiré’ is a Worthing seascape print and digital collage limited edition print inspired by Worthing Beach on the Sussex Coast. I created it by digitally combining original photographs taken at Worthing. My aim when creating digital photomontages is always to retain a sense of the places I visit. However the very act of combining different images of the place, leads to the creation of an entirely new scene, which as a consequence leaves space for the imagination.

I was very drawn to the patterns created by the planks left on Worthing beach. I knew they served a function, but they also looked as if they were accidentally drawn on the surface, like vigorous marks drawn by a pencil. The ropes were left like scribbles drawn onto the beach.

Choose from three different size prints, which are perfect for any coastally inspired interiors, or blue and gold colour scheme. I sign all prints on the front in pencil and edition them. Once an edition has run out, I do not print any more of that image.
