‘Alone’ is a Swanage seascape print, and limited edition original artwork and digital collage, inspired by the seafront in Swanage, Dorset. I created it by digitally combining original photographs taken in Swanage. My aim when creating digital photomontages is always to retain a sense of the places I visit. However the very act of combining different images of the place, leads to the creation of an entirely new scene, which as a consequence leaves space for the imagination.

I loved the wrought iron benches set along Swanage seafront on the piers which jutted out into the sea. They are testament to how much we love to sit and look out to sea. I wanted to capture a sense of the mental and physical space of sitting alone surrounded by the sea and changing light exposed to the elements. The beautiful curve of the bench forming a strong part of the composition against the turbulent sky.

Choose from three different size prints. This print would look good in both traditional or contemporary interiors. Buy as a gift for art lovers, or those who enjoy the beautiful British Coastline.

I sign all prints on the front in pencil and edition them. Once an edition has run out, I do not print any more of that image.
